Photographing the International Space Station Made of 243,000 matchsticks Matchsticks

Recently, the Ripley’s warehouse received a new shipment: replicas of the 150 billion dollar International Space Station made using just over 243,000 matchsticks. It took the artist—Patrick Acton—one entire year to build this mind-blowing piece of art and engineering.
It’s bigger than a parking space!
- 15 FEET WIDE
- 11 FEET LONG
- 4.6 FEET TALL
Because the item was so large and the lighting equipment was limited both full shots of the ATV and ISS are comps of many images.

Shot with a Canon T2i.
